Vancouver to Alaska Cruises
For
more than 30 years, the Port of Vancouver has been the leading homeport
for Alaska cruises, offering passengers more ships and departure dates
to choose from than any other port. The Port's two cruise terminals,
Canada Place and Ballantyne, are conveniently located and only 30 minutes
away from the award winning Vancouver International Airport. Canada
Place is located in the city centre, close to shopping, dining, attractions,
and Stanley Park. Ballantyne is located east of the city centre and
close to Canada Place. The cruise terminals are modern, secure, and
world-class.
Some of the most luxurious and largest ships afloat sail from Vancouver
to Alaska where passengers experience the natural beauty of the glaciers,
mountains, wildlife, and culture of America's last frontier. The ships
are operated by premier international cruise lines including: Carnival
Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Holland America Line,
Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Radisson Seven Seas Cruises,
Royal Caribbean International and Silversea Cruises.
Passengers experience two breathtaking destinations for the price of
one when they sail from Vancouver, gateway to Alaska. Year in year out,
Vancouver is ranked as one of the most beautiful cities in the world,
serving as an excellent place to start or end a cruise. Visitors enjoy
the city's spectacular setting, cosmopolitan flavor, diversity of attractions,
and fabulous international cuisine. Chosen as the host city for the
2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver is the place to visit.
The cruise season is from May to September - an excellent
time to visit Vancouver. Passengers come to enjoy the wide-open spaces,
parks and gardens, sightseeing, arts, culture, international cuisine,
shopping, and outdoor sports like ocean kayaking, river rafting and
golf. And, Vancouver is a friendly, safe and clean city.
In the 2005 cruise season, the Port of Vancouver continues to offer
cruise passengers more ships and departures dates to choose from than
any other port. The Port welcomes close to 300 ship visits and 1 million
passengers at its two cruise terminals, Canada Place and Ballantyne.
Off-site long term parking for passengers while on a
cruise is provided by Cruisepark. All arriving Cruisepark customers
are requested to go directly to their lot, a short distance from Canada

two level parkade at Canada Place which also offers long-term parking.
